This book is absolutely amazing. Celebrity personal trainer, lifestyle coach, and motivational speaker Robin Shea, of Southern Fried Fitness and Cooking 80/20% fame, explains how the body, mind, and spirit must work in harmony for successful weight loss to take place. Robin takes you step by step through the process of this often times difficult journey. It is as if she is there with you every step of the way providing support and motivation. The best part of this is that Robin's techniques can be applied to any type of diet that the reader so chooses. Robin even gives examples of many of the popular diets and explains the pros and cons of each. This book is simply amazing and should be in anyone's library who is looking to live a happy, healthy life. No matter if you are someone looking for a complete lifestyle change, someone looking to drop a few pounds, or someone just wanting to maintain their current, health lifestyle, this book can be a valuable resource for you.

I have never experienced anything like this in my life! "Before the Fork" which is Life changing, both mentally, physically and spiritually. I have watched and loved Robins shows, Cooking 80/20 lifestyle and Southern Fried Fitness but, nothing has touch and has changed my life as much as her new book " Before the fork". I can so appreciate her testimony and her life's journey as she shared in her book, along with talking with us through videos and messaging for support, guidance and encouragement. Robin is so real and down to earth and genuinely concerned for us and to nurture our journey. Also, what she has so painstakingly learn with her journey. I am so grateful and thankful for Robin for sharing her wisdom and passion to help others, myself included. Robin has truly been a blessing to me.
Bonus, what a precious group of new Friends and support system through the Facebook discussion group page! Nothing but support and uplifting each other here. Thank you Robin and friends! OXOX

I first "met" Robin Shea about 3 years ago through watching her TV Show "Cooking 80/20 with Robin Shea". From the tips and information that she shared on her TV program, it was obvious that one day she really needed to compile it all into a book, and I can't tell you how excited I was to find out that she did just that. When my copy arrived I absolutely devoured it in just a day or two...then I re-read it...and I re-read it again. What makes this book so special is that it's written by a wife and mother whose real-life experiences brought her to the realization that it was time to reclaim her family's dinner table and improve her family's health with good nutrition. The stories that she shares are deeply personal, and yet we can all relate to many of them. This is definitely not your typical "diet book" because the principles that Robin shares can be applied to trying to lose weight as well as learning to live a healthier lifestyle; it teaches you to look within to better understand yourself and the way you think about things...not just food, but so many aspects of life. I gave the book 5 stars...but wish I could have given it more because I highly recommend it.
